Mahogany Market is the best-known wet market in Tagaytay primarily due to the amazing bulalo (beef shank soup) experience it offers. Here you can find stalls of fresh Batangas beef delivered fresh to the market every Sunday. Above the beef stalls are bulalo eateries where you can treat yourself to a bowl of beefy goodness after shopping.

On the other side of the market, you can also find many fresh fruits, vegetables, and bagged plants. Mahogany Market is just a 10-minute drive from the city junction. Many buses and jeepneys bound for Mendez and Batangas can also take you here from Tagaytay Rotunda.

2. Tagaytay City Public Market

Address: Tagaytay-Santa Rosa Road, Tagaytay City

You can find many fresh fruits and vegetables and a wide variety of meat and fish at cheap prices, but a more notable feature of this wet market is the row of flower sellers along Tagaytay-Santa Rosa Road. This is found before entering the market and it is like Tagaytay’s mini version of Dangwa in Manila.

It only takes about five minutes to reach Tagaytay City Public Market by car. There are also tricycles that can take you here from Olivarez Plaza. The terminal of jeepneys going to Nuvali and Balibago in Santa Rosa, Laguna is also based here.

3. Mendez Public Market

Shopping at wet markets is definitely a fun daily or weekly routine of Filipinos. Be sure to bring your own bayong (traditional woven bags) for a convenient and eco-friendly shopping!
