5 Newly Opened Hotels to Check Out for a Cozy Staycation in Boracay

Boracay is now in the limelight due to the controversial statement of President Rodrigo Duterte about the problems on the island. Amidst the issues, the number of tourists going to Boracay for the summer remains unaffected based on local tourism records. It is still business as usual in the island.

While actions to fix Boracay are ongoing, some new businesses have also just started opening their doors to visitors of the island. Here are five of the newly opened hotels here suited for a staycation.


1. Crimson Resort & Spa Boracay

Where: Barangay Yapak, Boracay

Crimson Resort & Spa Boracay had its soft opening in December but only became fully operational this February. Their Boracay branch with 192 rooms is the third Crimson property in the country.

The resort boasts of contemporary architecture, natural landscape, and an interior design distinctly created to complement a Filipino setting. It has two restaurant facilities: Saffron Café which offers all-day dining and Mosaic Latin American Steakhouse. Apart from its spacious beachfront, the resort also has three swimming pools. For events, Crimson has a grand ballroom, events pavilion, and meeting rooms. They also have an in-house spa, fitness center, and a play den called Crimzone Kids Entertainment.


2. Mövenpick Resort & Spa Boracay

Where: Punta Bunga Cove, Barangay Yapak, Boracay

Just near Crimson Boracay is Mövenpick Resort & Spa Boracay which opened its doors one month earlier. The resort has 312 rooms as well as seven restaurants and bars serving different cuisines. The resort boasts of a 200-meter private beach and a 3,300-square meter multi-level pool area. The resort is also home to Sol Marina Beach Club which hosts international DJs and dance acts. It also has an in-house spa called Sagay Spa, which is named after native Visayan seashells.


3. G Executive Hotel Boracay

Where: Beachfront, Station 3, White Beach
Room Rates: Starts at PhP5,500

G Executive Hotel has smart TVs in all their rooms.



G Executive Hotel at the beachfront in Station 3 opened its doors on October 2017. Its location is close to all the main areas on the island. The boutique hotel aims to cater mostly to millennials and business travelers. All their 18 rooms are equipped with smart TVs that can handle room service, billing inquiries, and express check out. Hotel guests could enjoy high speed fiber-optic internet as well. The hotel also has its own café and a rooftop bar offering a fantastic view of White Beach.


4. Hue Hotels & Resorts Boracay

Where: Main Road, Station 2, Boracay
Room Rates: Starts at PhP8,000

Opened last September, Hue Hotels & Resorts Boracay, could be easily spotted along the main road in Station 2 due to its distinct circular shape. It has a circular pool area with its own double-deck jacuzzi pool bar. It has 126 rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, and function venues for corporate affairs, intimate gatherings, and even banquets. The resort also has its own spa and fitness center. Within the vicinity of the resort is Station X, a lifestyle complex filled with restaurants, bars, and boutiques. Station X also houses the famous Streetmarket Boracay food hall.
