steakhouses Metro Manila

In a land where everyone loves saucy and savory dishes, it’s hard to find restaurants that serve a simple nice piece of steak to satisfy meat cravings. With steaks, it’s not the fancy plating or the colorful garnishes that take the center stage: it’s the meat that becomes the star of the show. Although steakhouses in Metro Manila are few, our readers still have their favorite picks. Read on and see which steak eateries and restaurants made it on our list!

5. I'm Angus Steakhouse

Address: 7431 Yakal Street, San Antonio Village, Makati City

steakhouses Metro Manila

Make sure to partner I’m Angus’ steaks with their red wines!

Image: I’m Angus Steak House

The first steakhouse on our list is I’m Angus Steak House. They serve the classic steak options including T-Bone steak (PhP2,390+), Rib Eye (PhP1,990+), Striploin (PhP1,990+), Tenderloin (PhP2,300+), and Tomahawk Steak (PhP3,320+), some of which you can also have in bigger options. To give their customers the best quality of meat, I’m Angus Steak House only sources their steaks from the Certified Angus Beef® brand in the United States.

Served with steaks are root vegetables, mushroom garlic, shallots and baby potatoes—simple yet filling side dishes to keep the highlight on the meat. I’m Angus Steak House is also known for their wine selection, so make sure to order a glass of red wine to partner with your steak.

4. Elbert's Steak Room

Address: 3/F Sagittarius Building III 111 H. V. de la Costa Street Salcedo Village Makati City

steakhouses Metro Manila

Elbert’s Rib Eye (PhP3,900) will send you to steak heaven.

Image: @red_queenbee

The steakhouse that made it in our fourth spot is Elbert’s Steak Room . Makati residents have been in love with Elbert’s for over a decade now because of the restaurant’s high-quality steaks. They only use USDA Prime beef which is wet-aged and frozen and flown in from Wisconsin. To ensure quality, the meat is only defrosted once a customer orders it.

The steaks draw rave reviews for their taste, but you might be surprised to know that they are simply brushed with grapeseed oil and pepper and seasoned with Sicilian sea salt, and nothing more! Even though they are served with sauces, you won’t find the need for one because the steaks are flavorful on their own. Elbert’s prefer not to turn tables, so you can savor your steak without rushing.

3. Pepper Lunch

Various branches

steakhouses Metro Manila

Savory steaks for less can also be found at Pepper Lunch.

Image: Pepper Lunch Philippines Facebook Page

The place that made it into our top three is Pepper Lunch. Steaks are undeniably expensive, but if you’re looking for a more affordable option without sacrificing quality, this place is your best bet. Although Pepper Lunch is more famous for their bacon-like strips of beef cooked in their metal plates, they also have steaks in the menu!

Pepper Lunch’s The Giant (PhP660) is a made with premium steak and can be served either medium rare or well done. They also have the Shimofuri Pepper Steak (PhP598) if you prefer the striploin part of the beef. Make sure to try these steaks with their signature sauces: honey brown sauce (Amakuchi) or garlic soy sauce (Karakuchi).

2. Wolfgang's Steakhouse

Branches:
Second Floor, Resorts World Manila, Newport City, Pasay City
Ground Floor, The Podium, 18 ADB Avenue, Ortigas Center, Ortigas, Mandaluyong City

steakhouses Metro Manila

No need to fly to New York to taste this world-class steak.

Image: Wolfgang’s Steakhouse PH Facebook Page

Wolfgang’s Steakhouse landed on the second spot. This international steakhouse was opened in 2004 by Wolfgang Zwiener in New York and it made its way in the Philippines in 2016. Wolfgang’s is known for consistency, so rest assured that wherever Wolfgang’s Steakhouse you dine in the world, you’ll get the same USDA-certified Angus Prime beef that they use in all their branches.

Wolfgang’s selections of steaks are quite pricey, like their Porterhouse (PhP6,288 for 1kg), but the quality is incomparable. Aside from flying their meats from the United States, it’s also delivered chilled and dry-aged at the premises to achieve the best piece of steak possible.

1. Silantro Fil-Mex Cantina

Branches:
75 East Capitol Drive, Kapitolyo, Pasig City
Second Floor, UP Town Center, Katipunan Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City
Ground Floor, ATC Corporate Center, Alabang, Muntinlupa City
Second Floor, Ayala Malls Serin, Tagaytay-Nasugbu Road, Tagaytay City
Level 2, Ayala Malls Vertis North, Bagong Pag-Asa, Quezon City
Ground Floor, Ayala Fairview Terraces, Maligaya Road Corner Quirino Highway, Novaliches, Quezon City

steakhouses Metro Manila

Who knew the best steak in Metro Manila would be found in a simple cantina?

Image: Raine Martin

The restaurant that claimed the title of best steakhouse in Metro Manila this year is Silantro Fil-Mex Cantina. Although Silantro is not technically a steakhouse, they do have a couple of steak selections to please meat lovers and steak aficionados. Silantro is known for perfectly balancing Mexican and Filipino flavors, so expect a piece of steak here that will suit the Filipino palate.

Their Mexican Rib Eye (PhP850)comes in huge serving but is still cheap compared to other steakhouses. Another great steak option at Silantro is their Macho Lucha™ (PhP460) steak, a dry-rubbed beef grilled to perfection.
