A stressful week deserves a nice glass of sub-zero temperature beer, and there might be no better place to find a unique brew than at The Black Boar. This small bar in Kapitolyo became known for their Chocolate Beer (Dark, PhP99; Premium, PhP130), a tall glass of dark beer that starts off as sweet and finishes with a smooth but strong punch.
As for their food, you’ll find the usual bar chows here, but you might want to try their Black Boar Pork Chop (starts at PhP288) and their Black Boar Pork Belly (starts at PhP328) first. Their pork chops are not your usual deep-fried, batter-covered meat. These are thick cuts of lean meat roasted slowly to perfection, so they’re tender and savory to the bite.
